Don't Want To Grow Up

Ufdah. Ok, I've finished the Toddler Boat Neck sweater. I used Knit Picks yarn, and it turned out lovely. All creamy and soft. I finished the Hermoine scarf for my daughter in time for Halloween, she looked awesome. Now I'm working on a couple things. I've been trying (and failing) to make the Asymmetrical Cabled Cardi. It's made me so frustrated! I've thrown and buried it at the bottom of my yarn bin. I'll try again in a few weeks, when I've calmed down a little.

I'm knitting an Irish Hiking scarf in some random green yarn I bought, and also will be working on a plain blue ribbed scarf. Christmas presents for some friends. I'm also crocheting some bath poofs for my day care ladies. I bought some Happy Housewife soap, too. Delicious sniffies.

For my birthday, my husband bought me a cupcake six pack of perfume oil from Happy Housewife. Oh. My. God. There's one scent, Day of the Dead, I just can't get enough of it!! I'm makes me smell all chocolatey, and spice, and just yum, yum, delicious. I can't stop sniffing my wrists!

I'm listening to The All American Rejects, Rick Lucy, Foreigner, T.I., and Emmy Rossum.

I'll Wear Your Colors My Dear

I'm still working on the same two things I was last time. I've been really, really tired! I worked a lot of overtime last week, and it's only wednesday, but I've already surpassed last week. Ugh.

I've put the sweater aside and am solely working on the scarf. I just get so tired of all the garter stitch! I've been sneaking around, drooling over some malabrigo. I want to make an asymmetrical cabled cardigan. I've picked out malabrigo as the yarn, in the natural colorway. That way, I can wear any colored shirt underneath, or even a designed shirt, and I'll still match. I have a problem matching my clothes, I've had to switch to plain white socks. My husband was starting to roll his eyes everytime he saw my mismatched socks. So, that's my next project. I'm also planning on crocheting some bath puffs for Christmas gifts.

Let's see....what's on my ipod this week? The Submarines, The Seedy Seeds, Apocalyptica, Eric Hutchinson, and always, the incredible Adele and quirky April Smith.

I Know Just What You Are

Reed here.

I've been keeping a blog on vox. I had a different on here, on blogger, then I switched, and I can't decide which I like better. Either way, I can't seem to get any readers.

What makes a blog worth reading? Or, more to the point, worth following?

I don't have much money. I love all those natural fiber/luxury yarns, but that's exactly what they are. Luxuries. I can hardly ever afford them, let alone afford to make myself a sweater out of them!
And I don't have a lot of free time. I work full time, I'm married, and a mother. My husband goes to school and works, so I only see him on the weekends. Meaning all the cooking, laundry and cleaning falls to me.

Right now, I prefer cheap, easy knits. I'm making a simple garter stitch scarf in Gryffindor colors for my daughter, she's going to be Hermione Granger for Halloween. I'm also working on a simple boat neck sweater for my aunt's soon-to-be one year old. When I'm done, I'm not sure what I'm going to make. I might make the Serenity blanket, or....I don't know. I have knitters block!

What am I listening to? Right now, it's a whole lot of Meiko and Adele. Throw in a little Incubus, Fall Out Boy and Chevelle, and you've got a great mix. Oh, and April Smith. Love her voice.

P.S. The picture is of Morgan. She's modeling the hat and scarf I just finished for my daughter.
